Kid Loco French downtempo artist Kid Loco has released two albums in the U.S.: Prelude to a Grand Love Story, which contains three Kid Loco originals and six remixes (by such artists as St. Etienne, Jim O'Rourke, and Dimitri from Paris); and Jesus Life for Children Under 12 Inches, a collection of Kid Loco remixes of songs by Talvin Singh, Pulp, the Pastels, and others. While Kid Loco's signature touch is present in his remixes--that of Talvin Singh's "Traveller" in particular is exquisite--his 1998 album A Grand Love Story remains unreleased in the U.S. because of problems with sample clearances. |
